I’ve got that Friday feeling! So it must be ‘fake tanning it’ time! I’ve exfoliated my body using exfoliating gloves with an oil free body wash. Today I’m using MyBronze Airbrush Tanner; any girl who loves pink will love the shocking pink packaging. With its super-fine 360º airbrush spray designed to spray at any angle, even upside down!  I was interested to see how I would get on tanning my own back.

The spray was very fine and also dried quickly which was ideal as the UK was actually experiencing some hot weather on this sunny Friday. It’s all ways advised to fake tan in a room that is not hot or humid so today I had my fan on in the room keeping me cool.

I held the can 4-6 inches away from my skin and sprayed in a continuous sweeping motion. Using a full length mirror I avoided spraying my ankles, knees, elbows and hands. After I was confident I had spray and covered my skin in fake tan I used my hand to spread the fake tan over those above problem areas. Immediately after tanning I was washed my hands. This has been by far the best spray tan for applying fake tan to my own back!!! Being able to spray the can upside down, to the side, around and around covering my whole of my back in lush golden fake tan.

I loved the fact that this was an instant tan that I did not notice wearing all day. No horrid fake tan odour and No Stickiness, just a light golden tan!

I would say for a lighter tan one application and reapply 2 or 3 time for a deeper desired colour. I did find this fake tan to be very flawless and natural. The price tag is a little higher than I would have normally paid however it’s still cheaper than other high end brands such as St.Tropez and is just as good!

Body Drench Quick Tan Really is...

So this is my First review of one the products sold though my company TanBelievable your personal fake tanning online store.

This year Body Drench lunched its new 2012 packaging for their hugely popular product Quick Tan which really is what it says on the tin...   

I was really looking forward to tying this first as I have a three old and time is of the essence. I jumped into the shower exfoliated my body and face using my fav exfoliating gloves. I then completely dried myself and had a quick read of the instruction, no need to moistures making fake tanning even quicker!

Quick Tan did dry almost instantly however the first time I used this tanning mist I did apply way to much so after a few days I tried it again holding it further away from me and sprayed my body and face in a circler motion just twice. It left my room with a lovely scented smell of light coco, Yum, yum!

All my friend notice my new darker tan and said it looked like I’d just got back from the Caribbean. Over all I’m very pleased with Quick Tan and have used it many times. If you love to be really bronzed then I would recommend applying two layers, allowing the first application to dry completely before you spray more.

So I applied my Quick Tan in the morning and showered the next day. I showered and pat dried my skin which was now a lush golden brown, No strikes or matches. Then I moisturised using an oil free moisturiser head to toe!

The Science Fake Tanning

The two most common chemicals in self tanners are dihydroxyacetone (DHA) and Erythrulose, both of which work by reacting with the amino acids on the skin surface.

Sunless tanning or self-tanning or fake tanning, as we like to call it! products have been around in some form or other since the invention of cosmetics. In 1960, Coppertone introduced its first sunless tanning product - QT® or Quick Tanning Lotion. This lotion produced an overall orange effect. Today's fake tanning products produce much more realistic results. Tanning pills, sunless tanning or self-tanning or fake tanning lotions and sprays, and cosmetic bronzers are available to impart a subtle bronze glow or a deep, dark tan.
Bronzers yield immediate results, although some fake tanning products require 45 minutes to an hour or even longer before taking effect. Although fake tanning products can yield a golden glow, they do not protect the skin from the ultraviolet radiation in the sun's rays the way melanin in a 'real' tan does, so users of fake tanning products without SPF need to apply sunscreen before venturing out in the sun.

Why Do Tans Fade?

Skin takes a lot of wear and tear, so it naturally regenerates itself. Every 35-45 days the outer layer of the skin, the epidermis, is completely replaced. Since skin pigment is found in this upper layer, any natural or added pigment will be sloughed away in about one month's time. This is why natural tans fade and why many fake tanning products recommend you re-apply the product every few days or every week to maintain your tan.
